Anthony Horowitz Live Video Link
May 15, 2009 | | 4 Comments
Today P4-7 took part in a live video link up with the world famous author Anthony Horowitz. This was the first time an event like this was arranged by the Scottish Book Trust and Anthony was in Edinburgh and being beamed to over 200 schools throughout Scotland with a total of over 11 000 children watching. All the schools taking part were invited to submit 2 questions and then Anthony would answer some of them live on air during the one hour link.
Marybank Primary came up trumps and had one of our questions answered which is fantastic recognition of our questioning skills. Well done to Iain M who thought of the question about Anthony’s sources of inspiration for his writing.
Anthony certainly had plenty to say and gave everyone some ideas to help with their own writing.

We watched that too at Raigmore Primary. Did you manage to see it all? We had some technical issues and some of the time the sound wasn’t good.
We did manage to see it all, although the picture froze on a couple of occasions and the sound improved for the last part which was good. Did you manage to hear our question?
Hello from Menzies Creek, Australia. We came across your blog and we were very interested to see that you have been watching a video link with Anthony Horowitz. This term we have begun some author studies. Some of our students chose Anthony Horowitz as he is a very popular author within our class. We would have liked to have seen your video link too. Some of year 5 have been writig reviews of his books and putting together a booklet about his life, interests and books.
Bye for now,
