step by wicked step

Even before they reached the haunted house, the night had turned wild. The face of the minibus driver flickered from  blue to white under the lightening. Each peal of thunder made the map in Mr plumleys hand shiver. And the five leftover pupils from stagfire school peered anxiously through the rain spattered windows into the storm and the black night.

“there!“

“where?“

“over there see up that overgrown driveway.“

“JEFFREY STOP THE BUS!“ Alex cried.

Alex, Max and myself, Andrew, slowly stumbled off the bus to see what appeared to be two gargoyles. the driveway was so overgrown it was as tall as a sky scraper. as we made our way through the jungle of weeds I was beginning to tremble with fear. soon after we made our way out of the scary weed forest, Max spotted an abandoned old ship wreck.

“It looks as though it has come from the early 1800’s“ Alex siad very suspiciously. We all bravely went to go and see what was inside the old ship, As we courageously walked into the wreck Max was sweating like a pig and i could hear Alex’s heart  beat rising. as I was clutching onto Alex we all fell down a hole as big the craters on the moon.

“AAAAAAAAAAHH“ we all screamed as we fell down the death trap. somehow we had enden up in 1869 in a very old mysterious castle, there was a fire burning and I could smeel the black husky smoke as it passed through my nostrils. we had found an old wrinkly woman swaying on a rocking chair, then all of a sudden she stood up, picked up a butcher’s knife and turned around and then…

“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE OR FEED YA TO THE CROC IN MY BACK YARD!!!,“ the old woman screached as she charged at us. As we sprinted through thr rickety old castle we saw the tall stone watch towers on the building and heard the crackling thunder storm brewing outside. Max was running at the speed of light, eventually we lost and it was only me and Alex. Alex and I could hear the thumping of the old womans feet crashing to the ground and the screamingcoming from her.

“Psssd, you guys come in here NOW quickly!“ Max whispered

“Max, we need to get back to the minibus or else we’ll become croc bait“ I said anxiously.

Alex had found a air vent, so we all crawled through it and eventually we made it back to the attic where we fell out. as we rushed like a rampaging rhino to get back to the minibus,  I could feel the old woman’s wrinkly hands grab both of my ankles and pulling me down. Max and Alex helped me get away from the clutches of the old woman.

OH YES! FREE ATLAST!!“ We all cried as we scampered back to freedom. I could taste the horrid swamp water from falling off the ship wreck. all of us sprinted as fast as we could back to the minibus and shouted to the minibus driver to STEP ON IT.

“Wow that was some adventure we had to day Andrew,“ Alex and Max said very exhausted. And none of us ever spoke of this event ever again.
